DR.CHINMAYA M RAO
Dr.Chinmaya M.Rao from Honagodu, Sagar taluk, Shimoga district is the founder & Principal of Swaramedha International Music Academy. Though born in a family of agriculturists, Rao showed love for music and literature throughout his childhood. As a Music Director & Playback Singer Dr.Chinmaya Rao’s somany Audio Albums released in Kannada, Telugu & in Malayalam by reputed Audio Companies. He is also developing as a Music Director in Big Screen and in Small Screen of South Industry.
In 2017 Dr.Chinmaya Rao’s “Sri Gurusamhitaa” Music Dvd added to more than 21 World Record Books as LONGEST DURATION MUSIC ALBUM IN THE WORLD BY A SINGLE VOCALIST & LARGEST NUMBER OF SANSKRIT SHLOKAS SUNG BY A SINGLE VOCALIST FOR A SINGLE MUSIC ALBUM. This is an Audio Recording for a duration of 28 hours 8 minutes and 38 seconds which contained 6,621 Sanskrit Shlokas of Sri Gurucharitra.
As a Movie Music Director his 6 movies already released and 3 movies yet to release, releasing soon.
It will be selfishness, if you think of growing alone in the field of Music or so to say in any field. Instead along with growing oneself, others also have to grow and Music should glow everywhere through everybody. Heritage of Music should be protected and grown and should make our life worthy. Under these flow of thoughts Dr.Chinmaya Rao started the preamble of a Musical life and that was “Swaramedha International Music Academy”. At the end students should become peace ambassadors of the world, through the Music, is his one and only motto.
Swaramedha International Music Academy is a Music Academy founded by Carnatic Classical Musician, Music Director & Playback Singer Dr.ChinmayaM.Rao in 2014. He learned Carnatic Classical Music for about twenty years under the guidance of various Gurus. This perseverance built in him a strong willingness to pass on this great musical tradition to next generation. Now his Music Academy is running successfully through Offline & Online Classes in it’s various branches.
SHARADA KARANTH
Born in the orthodox family in Mangalore, helped to cherish with cultural activities. Music, dance which are the divine arts were easily incorporated with the glimpse of beautiful nature in mangalore.
With the full support and encouragement, started learning carnatic vocal music under the blessings of Guru Vidwan Sri M. Narayan at the age of 10. Completed junior and senior exams under his guidance.
Participated in many competitions in school and college level. Selected in audition of All India Radio Mangalore and given performance in Yuvavani continuously for 3 years.
Shifted to Bangalore and continued learning carnatic music under the guidance of Vidushi Srimathi Shanthamani Dathathri and continued learning with the blessings of Vidwan Sri Narayan Iyengar, Ramanagara.
With the view of bringing new talented singers and also promoting carnatic music, started Sri Vagdevi school of music under Karanth cultural academy in Kengeri Upanagara.
CHINMAYEE SRINIVAS
Chinmayee Srinivas is a Carnatic vocalist residing in Bangalore. She started her music journey at a young age and she has been learning music under the tutelage of Vid.Smt.Chaitra Raghunandan.
After her Under graduation, she took up Master of Performing Arts in Carnatic Music in an esteemed institution and is now a graduate in music. During the course, she has been under the tutelage of various renowned artists like Vid. R N tyagarajan, Vidushi R.A Ramamani and several other well known artists.
She is now a full time musician and she wants to persue her career in music. Since when she was a kid, she has taken part in various cultural programmes and competitions and has won several prizes.
In the year 2016, she has received the ‘Pratibha Puraskara’ award from Sri.Mukhyamantri Chandru. She has worked in institutions like L Subramaniam Academy of Performing Arts and Voxguru for a brief period after the completion of her Masters degree.
She is now a music trainer and she is passionate about teaching music and to identify and nurture young talents.
SHREYA PANDIT
Shreya Pandit is a musician who discovered her passion for music from a young age. She started her music journey at the age of 6 years. At young age Shreya Pandit accomplished her Carnatic Junior exam with first-class results at the tender age of 13, under the guidance of her guru Smt. Shailaja Satish mam. She currently is a student of Dr. Chinmaya Rao sir. Alongside vocal prowess, she also exhibited remarkable proficiency in playing the violin and achieved distinction in the Junior exam for the same, with the blessings of her guru Vid. M V Raghuram sir.
Shreya’s musical journey extended to various interschool competitions in her schooldays. She has represented her institution and secured numerous prizes in Carnatic music, Bhavageethe, and Devarnama competitions. Her talent found a wider audience through television appearances on BTV Manjulagana and Navaratri Geetanjali program. Since 2019, she has also been an esteemed member of the prestigious Bengaluru Ganesh Utsav choir, further adding to her musical accomplishments.
Now, as she embarks on her journey as a music teacher, Shreya Pandit is committed to nurturing the musical potential within each of her students. Drawing from her own experiences as a learner, she adopts a patient and empathetic teaching approach, catering to the unique needs and aspirations of her pupils.
